The weather in Britain has taken a turn for the worst. The heavens have opened with relentless rain, the seas have risen high with storms, banks of the River Thames have burst and the flood barriers can hold back the waters no more. This year’s winter has seen more rainfall than one can remember in most recent years. Thousands have helplessly seen their savings, treasures and possessions swept down the village high street. The situation calls for much prayer and reflection. A friend posted a very good prayer- it’s actually from the Book of Common Prayer. And how the words strike such a good reminder of God’s Sovereignty and Providence in every situation even in times as these:

Pray for Britain tonight and may God save the Queen!

I haven’t been following the news much at all recently, so I had no idea that Britain was facing such weather! Wow.
I guess as America battles snow, Britain is drowning in floods. Send us canoes and remain in prayer.
